Of all the best dressed women featured in the pages of Vogue, Amanda Cutter Brooks, fashion consultant and muse, is and has always been my favorite. She has a distinctive personal style, which makes her original. I have been waiting in eager anticipation for her book -and my years of patience have been rewarded. I highly recommend it to: anyone making an effort when getting dressed; to those interested in having a functional and treasurable wardrobe; and to girls who wish to cultivate their own look. It is a bible of fashion tips, an album of carefully chosen photographs.

I ponder her observations thoroughly. I savor every picture. I have already started to put her advice into practice... and I am having fun in the process!

Otoño en Miami

Noviembre es mi mes más esperado. El clima se pone agradable y yo, me pongo felíz.

Lo mejor de esta epoca es la expectativa de Art Basel Miami Beach, la gran feria de arte que llega en diciembre. Por una semana la ciudad se transforma, y la energía que genera este evento se siente en todas partes. Las calles de South Beach y del Design District y Wynwood se inundan de gente diferente, híper sofisticada: artistas, coleccionistas, galeristas. Apreciando lo mejor y lo más contemporáneo del arte en las galerías y predios feriales, pasean hombres y mujeres con los mejores looks: minimalistas de vanguardia (éstos son los galeristas generalmente), clásico luxe (los coleccionistas) , haute bohème, street chic (ambos, los artistas y sus amigos) y dandies modernos. Estímulo para los ojos, por partida doble. Lejos, la mejor semana para estar Miami.
