Paris Fashion Week. Part II

FALL WINTER 2010/11
Stella McCartney
Paris , je t'aime! So does londoner Stella Mc Cartney, who opts to show her work in the city of couture. This season I loved Stella. I think I would wear all of these looks - hemlines lowered a bit. Clean, modern, delicately polished. Full of details, for us to appreciate what master craftmanship looks like.

Stella dedicated the show to her family, friends, and to her recently deceased friend and classmate Alexander McQueen.

Fashion Moment: Meet up with designers Paula Cahen D'Anvers and Federico Alvarez Castillo

I am totally ecstatic to post a picture of one of the women I most admire: Paula Cahen D'Anvers. She and her husband Federico Alvarez Castillo are the coolest and most stylish couple in Argentina - and beyond.  The owners and designers of fashion brand Etiqueta Negra are furniture hunting for their home in Buenos Aires. In this picture we are at Poliform, in the Design District in Miami. Paula was wearing THE PERFECT WHITE LINEN SHIRT DRESS, the one I always look for and never find, finished off with the perfect leather belt, suede capri sandals, aviator sunglasses, hair pulled back in a loose bun. That's just how she is: perfect.... perfectly elegant, minimalist, chic, feminine. The BEST part is that she is absolutely real, down to earth,  divina. I heart PCD!!

Paris Fashion Week. Part I

PARIS. AUTUMN-WINTER 2010-2011
Parisian women are impossibly chic. Their sophistication is innate. Their feminine-masculine style is relaxed and flirtatious. How is such flair possible? Carine Roitfeld of Vogue Paris explains:

"The French live in fashion and we have our own idea of what it should be".

Azzaro
Argentinean Vanessa Seward has been designing for Azzaro in Paris for years, seemingly for her uber-fashionable-french-friends and stylish people-in-the-know. As of lately, though, she has entered the 'celebrity' realm as well. Her style influence? Her mother. Well, women in Argentina do have parisian attitude. Photo details below.

This look is so classic and feminine. I love the shoe effect. Delicate, compared to the huge platforms and boots shown in other collections.

The distinguished Vanessa Seward, happy and pregnant.

Balmain
The house of cool goes baroque.

the BLAZER of the moment.

Full-on baroque.

optional office look

                Christophe Decarnin salutes his fans.

I must say some the BEST ENSAMBLES were seen at Balmain's front row:
Gaia Repossi, uber cool in a loose fitting sequin t-shirt and slacks, and gorgeous Julia Restoin-Roitfeld, daughter of Vogue Paris's Carine Roitfeld.

Giovanna Battaglia, in military trend (+leopard boots), and Garance Dore, sporting
the nautical trend = striped t-shirt and the double-breasted blazer of the season.
