In our farm and Buenos Aires..

Hi everyone.

Some months back my family and I made the decision to spend almost a year in Buenos Aires and in our estancia in Venado Tuerto, Santa Fé. It has been an incredible cultural experienceI am calling it my "creative sabbatical". I do miss writing in my blog and I miss sharing with you. I am waiting until I come back to Key Biscayne to get my blog up and running again. I have exciting writing plans for the near future, and I plan to reconnect with my artistic interests. In the meantime, here is a look at my present homes, all about which I will share when I arrive back in Miami at the beginning of August.

Stay tuned!

Hello, Palm Beach and Key Biscayne !!

Polo - Sport of Kings in Palm Beach

During polo season, we were invited to International Polo Club Palm Beach to see a match.  Our friend Cesar Lopardo-Grana had very VIP box seats.

Friends Cesar and Pato', at our field side box

My three children, the ponies, the players

Crossing a field, with the beautiful English-colony style cottage in the background

Afterwards, we get to feed the ponies!!

Fashion's Night In

Three girls, one gorgeous boat house in Key Biscayne, and a lot of fashion talk. What could be more perfect? Caro Murciano told us all about her trendy and original Pajama pants line Lala, which look adorable on her, and Clara Lago updated us on her already internationally successful, up-and-coming brand, Pitusa, which I LOVE to wear.

Beautiful british-born Clara Lago, owner of fashion brand Pitusa, sporting one of her one-of-a-kind "trackies", the coolest ones I've ever seen. How to look casual and feminine? By wearing them with pink suede ballet flats and matching rose in hair. Love!

My comfy, warm, sophisticated Pitusa shawl, with the cool neon "Peace" embroidery in arabic. The feel of the pure alpaca from Peru is superior to that of cashemere and pashmina.
Too warm and humid to be actually wearing it! I pose and look at the exotic plant hangings on the tree, do you see?

"How cool is Caro's poncho?", says Clara. I think it's by Marni or Etro...

A very chic birthday party

Giada Baselice celebrated her birthday at her restaurant, Puntino Key Biscayne.

Giada, gracious host. Kiss kiss to the birthday girl!

Margherita, a charming and very stylish Italian. She is a ceramicist and Giada's sister-in-law. This picture reminded me of...

...a picture of my idol, german princess Gloria von Thurn und Taxis

Macarena Zubiria tries on the hair piece

Caro Murciano and Mica descend from their golf cart - Key Biscayne's mobility of choice. Killer boots, Caro!!

As It Happens in Miami

Paula Cahen D'Anvers's Latest
Paula Cahen D'anvers to reside in Miami? Apparently the Argentinean designer has found herself a new home, and her vacation pad will most probably be an apartment in Key Biscayne. I am anxiously looking forward to having such distinguished and talented persona around, and wish her the best for the new store opening of Etiqueta Negra at Aventura Mall.

Puntino Launches
The new Puntino Key Biscayne restaurant celebrated its future opening in its well-decorated space, with a big chandellier and dominant paintings by artist Leonardo Hidalgo, featuring Mick Jagger and Sophia Loren. Almost as attractive as its Italian proprietress, Giada Baselice, who co-owns with her husband Cristoforo Pignata. In attendance were Caro Murciano, whom I declare is one the best dressed in Miami, wearing a gorgeous silver strapless Missoni dress and a vintage Fendi bag. Her sister looked seriously chic, too. My blue dress with kimono sleeves and white flower ring I always get compliments for, was from Caro Murciano’s very own ex boutique. She is happy with her cool job at the Icon but I hope she returns to fashion someday – soon! Also present were Macarena Zubiria, looking lovely with one of her necklaces, a long strand of crystals and pearls. Jessica de Linares, as pretty as ever, not only for what she wore but for the fact that she looks luminous. She has just launched a new boutique, carrying the trendiest and most consciously compromised brands. How fashion-forward! More details to come soon.

Skanda Yoga Studio
Sol Steed has partnered up with a team of pros to open Skanda, a new yoga studio near Brickell. Planning to try out a class next week! I wish them continuous success. Peace and love…
